WP1 - Systems and applications specifications

 

This WP gives required specifications for WP 2 for design of RF-MEMS circuits, WP 3 for process development, WP 4 for characterisation.

Task 1.1: Specifications related to Demonstrator 1

Reflect Array Antenna for Wake Vortex Detection Radar. Establishment of technical and functional specifications for: - Elementary miniaturised switched capacitors and array of switched capacitors (component level) - Phase shifter (function level) - Partial Reflect Array Antenna (system level) In terms of RF performances, power handling, reliability - Packaging, environmental conditions - Functionalities and architectures - Definition of final test procedure.- Definition of performance evaluation method.

Task 1.2: Specifications related to Demonstrator 2

High sensitivity passive stand-off millimetre-wave imager.
Establishment of technical and functional specifications for:- SiGe / AsGa LNAs and detectors
(component level)- High sensitivity 94GHz direct detection receiver (function level)- Passive stand-off
millimetre-wave imager (system level). In terms of:- RF performances, power handling, reliability-
Packaging, environmental conditions- Functionalities and architectures- Definition of final test
procedure.- Definition of performance evaluation method.

Task 1.3: Specifications related to Demonstrator 3

140GHz MIMO radar for sensing applications
Establishment of technical and functional specifications for:- 140GHz SiGe BiCMOS RF-MEMS circuitry, devices (RF-MEMS switches, BICMOStransistors) and antennas (component level) - Transmit / receive performance of the system-on-chip, intermediate frequency performance,module technologies (function level)- - Sensor performance including resolution, operational range and size (system level)In terms of:- RF performances, reliability- Packaging, RF and data-interfaces, environmental conditions- Functionalities and architectures- Definition of final test procedure.- Definition of performance evaluation method.
